Day 1: Arrival

After completion of customs and immigration formalities you will be met at the Airport by our representative/Safari driver guide, transfer to the hotel where you will have your Safari briefings.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest National Park – Chimps trek and Bird watching

After early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for trekking formalities then depart for a hike into Nyungwe Forest in search of chimps. There is a lot more in Nyungwe than just chimps. Colobus Monkeys, Mangabeys, various other primate species and lots of forest dwelling birds will be encountered on the way. For those interested in botany, the flora in Nyungwe comes as an added bonus, after trek drive back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon, visit the nearby Tea plantations.

Day 5: Volcanoes National park – Mountain Gorilla trek

After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters, for gorilla trekking formalities and briefing on the gorillas’ etiquette.  You will be assigned to a specific group of gorillas. After locating your assigned Gorilla group you will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps back down the volcano slopes. Have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, have a visit to the little known but compellingly beautiful twin lakes of BULERA and RUHONDO.

Day 7: Bwindi impenetrable – Mountain Gorillas trek

After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters, for gorilla trekking formalities and briefing on the gorillas’ etiquette. Your trek will vary in length depending on where gorillas will be found you may see other primates in the forest including the black and white Colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey and chimpanzee. After locating gorillas, you will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps back down the volcano slopes. Have lunch at the lodge. Afternoon will be at leisure visit the nearby community.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Game drives

Have an early game drive to see elephant and lion, return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Relax till lunch.  In the afternoon, enjoy the cruise at Kazinga Channel which separates Lakes Edward and George while viewing animals such as Lion, hippo, Cape buffalo, Uganda kob, wart hogs as well as water birds and then return to the lodge.

Day 11: Kibale Forest – Chimps trek

After breakfast, enjoy a guided primate walk in the lush expenses of the tropical forest, in search of the chimpanzees. Your guide will explain you more about the animals and plants species that you encounter on your way. Also look out for other primates like the Black & White Colobus Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys, and different type of birds, tracks of mammals and much more. The hike takes about 2 to 4 hours, depending on the movement of the chimpanzees. Watch these amazing creatures eating, resting and playing.

Day 13: Lake Mburo National Park – Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi. It is a rich scenic journey that passes you through the beautiful hills of kabale, also referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Have a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi probably the deepest lake in Uganda, also most interesting lake to explore being of volcanic origin and having so many islands as well as many bird species.

Day 15: Departure.

After a leisurely breakfast, have your last shopping and souvenirs and then have transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Day 2: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast, enjoy Kigali City tour including Kigali Genocide Museum (a grim reminder of senseless massacre of innocent’s lives in 1994) then head to Nyanza and visit the Royal Palace, National Museum, lunch at Butare town and thereafter proceed to Nyungwe National Park.

Day 4: Nyungwe – Volcanoes National park.

After breakfast drive to Musanze, the main base town for Gorilla tracking. The drive is through beautiful rolling hills. The road is enclosed by steep and green terraced hills along eastern Rwanda.

Day 6: Golden Monkey trek – Bwindi

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, again report to the park headquarters now to undergo formalities for tracking the rare golden monkeys. The rare Golden monkeys are beautiful and distinctive bamboo-associated primates of the blue monkey family and Endemic to the Albertine Rift Valley. After tracking drive back to the lodge for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest

Day 8: Bwindi – Ishasha Climbing lion.

After early breakfast head for Ishasha, which is the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, carry out a game drive in search for the rare tree-climbing lions. Ishasha is dominated by acacia woodland and scrubland and features the meandering Ishasha River, banked by a riparian forest. After picnic lunch drive all the way to the northern sector of the park.

Day 10: Semliki National Park

After an early breakfast, we drive towards Semliki National Park. The scenic winding road will lead us through green mountains offering a magnificent view of River Semliki and Congo.  After arriving in the protected area, a ranger will accompany us on a beautiful nature walk through the Ituri Rainforest. Enjoy the peacefulness of the forest and the rich birdlife at the swamp.  Take up “boiling eggs experience” in the hot springs that have become an interesting natural attraction before having a picnic lunch. Explore the real Africa and Later in the afternoon drive to Kibale Forest.

Day 12: Kibale Forest – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo National Park which takes us about four hours with lunch en route. As we enter the park and head towards the accommodation it is likely that you will see some wildlife, like impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras and buffaloes. After checking in you will go on a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich birdlife and the hippos that are cooling off.

Day 14: Lake Bunyonyi – Kigali

After breakfast, enjoy the sight of the sites and very attractive sylvan life and observation of birds in the boat that crosses the lake BUNYONYI. The lake is the home of species of endemic birds. After the lake excursion, enjoy the scenic drive back to Kigali via Katuna border.
